This medication is used only for patients who need to take Telmisartan and Rosuvastatin concurrently. Telmisartan helps reduce the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and mortality due to cardiovascular diseases in patients with essential hypertension and high cardiovascular risk. Rosuvastatin Calcium is used as an adjunct to dietary therapy in patients with hypercholesterolemia and dyslipidemia, lowering total cholesterol and LDL-cholesterol, delaying the progression of atherosclerosis, and reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease and stroke and myocardial infarction. This medication is used to simultaneously exert the effects of both drugs to improve cardiovascular health.

How to take

Adult dose

Telmisartan: For essential hypertension, the recommended adult dose is 40 mg orally once daily, and it may be effective at 20 mg once daily depending on the patient. If necessary, the dose can be increased up to 80 mg once daily. For reducing cardiovascular disease risk, 80 mg orally once daily is recommended. Precautions

This drug can cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn during pregnancy, so if pregnancy is confirmed, discontinue use immediately. Patients allergic to this drug or its components, pregnant women, women of childbearing potential, and breastfeeding women should not take it. Patients with severely impaired liver or kidney function, those with certain liver diseases or muscle diseases should also avoid taking this medication. This medication contains lactose and is not suitable for patients with genetic disorders such as lactose intolerance. Elderly patients or patients with high blood potassium levels or weakened liver function should take this drug carefully and should periodically undergo liver enzyme and kidney function tests. If symptoms such as myalgia, muscle weakness, or muscle cramps occur, consult a physician immediately, and if necessary, a blood test should be conducted to check for muscle damage. The risk of side effects may increase when this drug is taken with other antihypertensive medications, certain diuretics, or potassium supplements, so be sure to inform your doctor about any other medications you are taking. Symptoms of liver dysfunction, allergic reactions, hypotension, or worsening kidney function may occur, and if any symptoms are suspected, inform healthcare personnel immediately and obtain appropriate measures.
