This medication is used for patients who need to take both telmisartan and rosuvastatin simultaneously. Telmisartan is primarily used to treat essential hypertension and helps reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. It is especially effective in reducing the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and death related to cardiovascular diseases in high-risk patients. Rosuvastatin helps to manage several types of dyslipidemia associated with hypercholesterolemia and is used adjunctively when dietary and exercise measures are insufficient. It also helps reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, contributing to a decreased risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and arterial revascularization procedures. The combination therapy of these two medications plays a crucial role in managing hypertension and dyslipidemia as well as in the prevention of cardiovascular disease.
