This medication is used for patients who need to take telmisartan and rosuvastatin together. Telmisartan reduces the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and death due to cardiovascular diseases in patients with essential hypertension and those at high risk for cardiovascular diseases. Rosuvastatin lowers blood cholesterol levels in patients with hypercholesterolemia or dyslipidemia when not controlled by diet and exercise alone, delaying the progression of atherosclerosis. Additionally, it helps reduce the risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and revascularization in adult patients at high risk for cardiovascular diseases. The combination of these two components effectively manages hypertension and dyslipidemia, improving cardiovascular health.
