View approved original text

This medication is used as an adjunct to reduce elevated triglyceride levels in patients with endogenous hypertriglyceridemia. It is effective when used alone for hypertriglyceridemia (type IV) and should be combined with statin drugs for patients with mixed hypercholesterolemia and hypertriglyceridemia (type IIb). In particular, it enhances therapeutic effects in patients with uncontrolled triglyceride levels when used in conjunction with statins. This helps improve blood lipids and contribute to reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease.
