Precautions

This medication should not be used by patients who have had an allergic reaction to its ingredients. Also, since it contains lactose, patients who have a genetic disorder that cannot digest lactose should not take this medication. Patients with impaired liver function should be cautious as there may be an increase in blood concentration while taking this medication. There is insufficient experience in using this medication for patients with severe heart or cerebrovascular problems; hence, it should be administered cautiously. Elderly patients may have decreased liver function, which can increase the risk of side effects due to prolonged retention of the drug in the body. Patients taking other medications that lower blood pressure or those with orthostatic hypotension should be careful, as the blood pressure may decrease further when using this medication. Side effects such as dizziness, lightheadedness, low blood pressure, and gastrointestinal discomfort may occur; serious side effects like liver function abnormalities or loss of consciousness can also happen, so consult a doctor immediately if any abnormal symptoms occur. In the case of overdose, blood pressure may drop excessively, so it's essential to adhere to the prescribed dosage. While on this medication, dizziness may occur when standing up suddenly, so it is advisable to move slowly. During the initial phase of taking this medication or when suddenly increasing the dosage, dizziness or lightheadedness may worsen, so care should be taken when driving or performing hazardous tasks. For those taking blood pressure medication, be cautious that blood pressure does not drop too low, and dosage adjustments may be necessary if required. This medication may potentiate the blood-lowering effect when taken with other antihypertensive agents, so consultation with a physician is advised when used concurrently. Elderly patients should carefully monitor liver function and cautiously administer the medication, reporting any adverse reactions immediately. Keep out of the reach of children, and be cautious to take the medication out of the packaging for administration to avoid swallowing it in its packaging, which may cause damage to the esophagus. Patients who have previously taken similar medications may experience eye-related side effects during surgery, so if surgery is planned, it is crucial to inform the medical staff.
