This medication is used for the prevention and treatment of vitamin B1 deficiency. It also serves to supplement vitamin B1 intake when it is insufficient, for example, in cases of wasting diseases, hyperthyroidism, during pregnancy or lactation, and in cases of intense physical labor. It is effective for Wernicke's encephalopathy and beriberi heart disease. Additionally, it can be used for conditions associated with vitamin B1 deficiency or metabolic disorders related to gastrointestinal motility dysfunction such as neuralgia, myalgia, arthralgia, peripheral neuropathy, peripheral nerve paralysis, myocardial metabolic disorders, constipation, and postoperative ileus. However, it is not recommended to be used for more than one month without specific indication. Therefore, this drug is used to improve various symptoms associated with vitamin B1 deficiency.
