NARIGENTA Tablet 5mg (Linagliptin)

Adult dosage

The recommended dose for this medication is 5mg once daily. It can be taken regardless of meals.

This medication should not be used in patients who are allergic to the active ingredient or other components. It is not to be administered to patients with type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis. Caution is required when used with insulin or sulfonylureas which may induce hypoglycemia, as dose adjustments may be necessary to reduce the risk of low blood sugar. It should be administered with caution in patients with heart failure, and if symptoms of acute pancreatitis occur, discontinuation and consultation with a physician is necessary. If symptoms of skin abnormalities such as bullous pemphigoid appear, discontinue use and consult a specialist. While taking this medication, patients should be vigilant for signs of hypoglycemia, and if severe joint pain occurs, discontinuation may be required. The use of this drug is not recommended for pregnant women, and caution is advised for breastfeeding women. Safety and efficacy have not been sufficiently established for use in children and adolescents. It may be used in elderly patients or those with reduced renal or liver function without dose adjustments. In cases of overdose, it is necessary to remove any unabsorbed drug from the gastrointestinal tract and observe symptoms for appropriate treatment. This drug should be stored out of the reach of children and should not be transferred to another container.

This drug should be stored in a tightly closed container to protect it from air and moisture. It is best to maintain a storage temperature between 1 and 30 degrees Celsius.
