This medication is used for intestinal-related conditions such as acute and chronic enteritis, acute and chronic diarrhea, and acute dysentery. It also helps improve symptoms caused by abnormal fermentation in the intestines.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults: 2g per dose, 3 times a day (initial dose of 4g)

Child dose

Children: 1g per dose, 3 times a day

Precautions

This medication can be used with antibiotics, but it is advisable not to take it with certain drugs such as ciprofloxacin, imipenem, and cilastatin sodium. It should be administered cautiously to patients currently receiving treatment from a physician. Since this medication contains lactose, it should not be used by patients with genetic disorders such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption. When using this medication, it is essential to adhere to the prescribed dosage and administration, and if symptoms do not improve after about one month of use, the medication should be discontinued, and a consultation with a pharmacist or physician should be sought. If administering to infants under 3 months of age, consultation with a pharmacist or physician is necessary.
