This medication helps reduce serum total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, Apo B, triglycerides, and non-HDL cholesterol levels in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia, while increasing the level of good cholesterol, HDL cholesterol. It is particularly used as an adjunctive therapy when the risk of atherosclerotic vascular disease due to hypercholesterolemia is high, or when adequate results are not achieved with non-pharmacological treatments such as dietary therapy. It is important to check for other underlying conditions or medication use before administration and to treat them if necessary. Additionally, lipid levels in the blood should be regularly monitored safely throughout the treatment process. This medication is more effective when accompanied by appropriate dietary adjustments and helps lower the risk of cardiovascular disease by improving blood lipid levels.
