This medication helps improve blood cholesterol and triglyceride levels in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia. It is particularly used to lower total cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol, Apo B, triglycerides, and non-HDL-cholesterol while increasing HDL-cholesterol levels. This medication should be administered alongside a dietary regimen when dietary changes and other lifestyle improvements alone are insufficient. It plays an important role in reducing the risk of atherogenic vascular diseases due to hypercholesterolemia. Before administration, it is necessary to identify and treat other causes of dyslipidemia, such as diabetes and hypothyroidism, and regular lipid testing should be conducted to monitor therapy outcomes. In summary, this medication effectively improves cholesterol and lipid levels, contributing to the prevention of cardiovascular diseases.
