This medication is used as an adjunct to dietary changes in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia to lower elevated levels of total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, Apo B, triglycerides, and non-HDL cholesterol, and to raise HDL cholesterol. When administering lipid-lowering medication to patients at high risk for atherosclerotic vascular diseases due to hypercholesterolemia, multiple risk factors should be considered. This drug is recommended when dietary modification or non-drug therapy alone is insufficient. Other diseases or medications causing dyslipidemia should be identified, and treatment should be administered as necessary. Regular monitoring of total cholesterol, LDL, HDL, triglycerides, etc. is necessary during treatment to assess efficacy and safety. This medication is used to improve hypercholesterolemia and dyslipidemia.
