Precautions

This medication contains aluminum and magnesium-based antacids, which neutralize stomach acid to relieve symptoms of heartburn or gastritis. Certain individuals should avoid taking this medication, such as those who have had hypersensitivity reactions to this drug, those with severely impaired kidney function undergoing dialysis, individuals with elevated levels of magnesium or phosphate in the blood, individuals with severe constipation, those with narrowed intestines, those diagnosed with acute appendicitis, women in the first trimester of pregnancy, and children under 7 years of age. Additionally, this medication contains lactose, so individuals with lactose intolerance or certain genetic metabolic disorders should avoid taking it. It is important not to take this medication concurrently with tetracycline antibiotics, as this can reduce their effectiveness. Individuals taking other medications should consult a physician or pharmacist. In particular, taking this medication alongside aluminum-containing antacids can alter the absorption rates of some drugs, so it is advisable to maintain a gap of 1 to 2 hours between doses. Pregnant or breastfeeding women are advised to consult with a specialist due to uncertainty about whether this medication is secreted in breast milk. Individuals with weakened kidney function or a history of kidney disease should be monitored closely if taking this medication for an extended period, as magnesium levels may rise. If symptoms such as diarrhea, constipation, abdominal bloating, skin rashes, numbness, dry mouth, altered taste, headache, drowsiness, dizziness, or weakness occur during use, discontinue the medication immediately and consult a professional. Additionally, if symptoms do not improve after 2 weeks of use, it is essential to consult a physician. Follow the prescribed dosage and administration, and swallow the tablets quickly to avoid prolonged retention in the mouth. Long-term continuous use should be avoided, and caution is required as aluminum may accumulate in neural tissues and bones. Store this medication out of reach of children, in its original container, away from direct sunlight, in a cool and dry place.
