How to take

Adult dose

As Trimebutine Maleate, take 100-200 mg orally three times daily before meals. Adjust appropriately according to age and symptoms.

Precautions

This drug contains lactose, so individuals with hereditary issues such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take it. When taking this medication, gastrointestinal side effects such as constipation, diarrhea, abdominal distension, nausea, vomiting, dyspepsia, dry mouth, and oral numbness may occur rarely. Additionally, symptoms such as rapid heartbeat may occur rarely, so caution is needed. Neurological symptoms such as fatigue, drowsiness, dizziness, lethargy, and headache may also appear rarely. There may be an increased likelihood of elevated liver function test results, so those with liver health issues should consult before taking it. If allergic reactions such as skin rashes occur, the medication should be stopped immediately, and medical consultation is advised. Pregnant women or women who may become pregnant should only take this medication if the benefits outweigh the risks, as its safety has not been fully established. Women who are breastfeeding should also avoid this medication if possible, and if it is necessary to take it, breastfeeding should be discontinued.
