(Hypertension, heart failure) treatment and improvement of hypercholesterolemia
This medicine is used for patients who need to take both valsartan and rosuvastatin simultaneously. Valsartan primarily helps in the treatment of essential hypertension and heart failure, and is used for heart failure patients who are intolerant to ACE inhibitors or to reduce the risk of mortality after myocardial infarction. Rosuvastatin is effective in controlling lipid abnormalities such as hypercholesterolemia and mixed hyperlipidemia, and it slows the progression of atherosclerosis. Additionally, it contributes to reducing the risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and vascular reintervention in patients at high risk for cardiovascular disease. Therefore, this medicine is used for hypertension, heart failure, hyperlipidemia, and reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease.
◆ Valsartan 1. Essential hypertension Take with water during meals or between meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time each day (e.g., in the morning). Adults: It is recommended to take valsartan at a daily dose of 80 mg orally once daily, regardless of sex or race. For patients whose blood pressure is not well controlled, the dose may be increased to 160 mg daily or a diuretic may be used in combination. If necessary, the maximum daily dose may be 320 mg.
◆ Valsartan Pediatric: Safety and efficacy have not been established in pediatric and adolescent patients under 18 years. Therefore, administration is not recommended.
This medication should not be used during pregnancy. If pregnancy is confirmed, it should be discontinued immediately to prevent serious damage to the fetus and newborn. It is not safe to use this medicine for patients with allergies to it, severely impaired liver or kidney function, or muscle diseases. Older adults or patients with high blood potassium levels, and those with liver function impairment should use this medication with particular caution, and regular liver function tests are recommended, if necessary. This medicine can cause muscle pain or weakness and, rarely, serious muscle damage, so if any unusual symptoms occur in the muscles, consult a doctor immediately. Since this medication lowers blood pressure, symptoms of hypotension or dizziness may occur, and caution is needed when driving or operating machinery. When taking in conjunction with other medications, interactions may occur, so it is essential to inform your physician or pharmacist of any other medications being taken. Regular blood tests to monitor liver function, kidney function, and electrolyte levels are important during the course of treatment with this medication. Safety in children and adolescents under 18 years has not been established, so it is advisable not to use it. In case of overdose, symptoms such as decreased consciousness or low blood pressure may occur, and immediate medical attention should be sought. This medication should be kept out of reach of children, and it is advisable not to transfer it to another container.
Hives, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor, severe rash with fever, blisters, skin peeling, pain in mucous membranes of mouth/eyes, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthma attacks, respiratory abnormalities accompanied by cough and fever, jaundice (yellowing of skin or eyes), extreme lethargy, sudden severe headache, thunderclap headache, seizures, confusion, visual disturbances, paralysis, urination problems.
Dyspepsia, nausea, dizziness, headache, conjunctival hemorrhage, constipation, fatigue, chest pain, facial swelling, peripheral edema, nasopharyngitis, urinary tract infection, bruising, increased serum aminotransferases (AST, ALT), increased serum creatine phosphokinase, increased serum potassium, increased gamma-glutamyl transferase, musculoskeletal stiffness, limb pain, sensory disturbance, anxiety, upper respiratory infection, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, spinal canal stenosis, insomnia.

This medication should be stored in a tightly sealed container to protect it from light and air. It is important to maintain a storage temperature between 1 and 30 degrees Celsius. Proper storage will ensure the safety and efficacy of the medication.
