Treatment to improve (hypertension, heart failure) and reduce the risk of hypercholesterolemia and cardiovascular disease
This medication contains two components, valsartan and rosuvastatin, which are used effectively for certain patients. Valsartan is used for the treatment of hypertension and heart failure, especially in heart failure patients intolerant to ACE inhibitors, and to reduce the risk of mortality after myocardial infarction. Rosuvastatin is an adjunct to dietary therapy for hypercholesterolemia and various dyslipidemias, helping to lower the risk of cardiovascular disease. It also slows the progression of atherosclerosis by controlling total cholesterol and LDL-cholesterol, and reduces the risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and vascular revascularization. The combination of these two medications is effective in improving cardiovascular health and reducing risks for patients.
This medication is intended for adults only. ◆ Valsartan 1. Essential Hypertension - Take with water during meals or in-between meals. - It is recommended to take it at the same time each day (e.g., in the morning) whenever possible. - A daily oral dose of 80 mg is recommended. - If dose adjustment is needed, it can be increased up to a maximum of 320 mg per day. 2. Heart Failure - A daily dose of 40 mg orally twice a day is recommended.
