Efficacy & effects

Improvement of blood glucose control in type 2 diabetes

  • Difficulty in blood glucose control in patients with type 2 diabetes
View approved original text

This medication is used to help control blood glucose in patients with type 2 diabetes in conjunction with diet and exercise. It may be administered alone to patients who have not received medication for diabetes before. If controlling blood glucose is difficult with monotherapy, it can be used in combination with Metformin. Additionally, this medication can be added when monotherapies such as sulfonylureas, Metformin, thiazolidinediones, or insulin are insufficient for control. It enhances therapeutic effects when added to inadequate multiple drug combination therapies. Therefore, this medication is effectively used to improve blood glucose control in patients with type 2 diabetes.
