Tricool Tablet (Trimebutine Maleate)

Adult dose

As Trimebutine Maleate, take 100–200 mg orally three times a day before meals. Adjust dosage appropriately according to age and symptoms.

This medication contains lactose, so individuals with genetic issues that prevent them from digesting lactose should not take it. Using this medication may occasionally cause gastrointestinal-related symptoms such as constipation or diarrhea, gas sounds from the abdomen, nausea, vomiting, dyspepsia, a sensation of dryness in the mouth, or a numb feeling in the mouth. Rarely, palpitations may occur. Neurological symptoms such as fatigue, drowsiness, dizziness, lethargy, and headaches may occasionally be observed. Liver function test values may temporarily rise. Allergic reactions such as rashes on the skin may rarely occur, so if such symptoms appear, the medication should be discontinued. The safety of this medication during pregnancy has not been sufficiently verified, so women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should only take it when the therapeutic benefits outweigh the risks. The safety of this medication during breastfeeding is also uncertain, so it is advisable to avoid taking it, and if it must be taken, breastfeeding should be discontinued.
