This medication is used for patients who need to administer both components, Olmesartan Medoxomil and Rosuvastatin, simultaneously. Olmesartan Medoxomil is effective for the treatment of essential hypertension. Rosuvastatin helps in the treatment of hypercholesterolemia and various lipid abnormalities and is used as an adjunctive therapy when dietary changes and exercise are insufficient. Additionally, it slows the progression of atherosclerosis and contributes to reducing the risk associated with cardiovascular diseases. In particular, it reduces the risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and arterial revascularization procedures in men over 50 years and women over 60 years who have elevated high-sensitivity C-reactive protein levels and additional cardiovascular risk factors. Overall, this medication improves cardiovascular health by managing both hypertension and hyperlipidemia simultaneously.
