This medication is used for patients who need to take Olmesartan Medoxomil and Rosuvastatin simultaneously. Olmesartan Medoxomil helps in treating essential hypertension. Rosuvastatin is used in cases of primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia that are not controlled by diet and exercise, and it is also used as an adjunct treatment for homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia. Additionally, it helps as an adjunct for patients with dysbetalipoproteinemia and lowers total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol levels, delaying the progression of atherosclerosis. In patients with elevated high-sensitivity C-reactive protein levels and cardiovascular disease risk factors, it reduces the risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and arterial revascularization, thus improving cardiovascular health. Therefore, this medication is used to manage both hypertension and hyperlipidemia simultaneously to reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases.
