This medication is used for patients who need to take both olmesartan medoxomil and rosuvastatin. Olmesartan medoxomil helps treat essential hypertension. Rosuvastatin is used as an adjunct when hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia cannot be controlled by diet and exercise, and it is effective for familial hypercholesterolemia as well. Furthermore, rosuvastatin lowers total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol levels, delaying the progression of atherosclerosis and reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease. Especially in middle-aged individuals with cardiovascular risk factors, it contributes to reducing the risk of complications such as stroke, myocardial infarction, and revascularization procedures. This medication is used to improve cardiovascular health by managing hypertension and dyslipidemia concurrently.
