This medication is used for patients who need to take both olmesartan medoxomil and rosuvastatin. Olmesartan medoxomil helps in treating essential hypertension. Rosuvastatin is used as an adjunct treatment for patients with hypercholesterolemia and hyperlipidemia that are not controlled by diet and exercise. Additionally, it helps slow the progression of atherosclerosis and assists in the treatment of primary dysbetalipoproteinemia. Furthermore, it is effective in reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases, particularly contributing to a reduction in the risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and arterial vascular remodeling procedures. Therefore, this medication is used to manage both hypertension and hyperlipidemia together.
