This medication is prescribed for patients who require the combined use of two ingredients, olmesartan medoxomil and rosuvastatin. Olmesartan medoxomil helps treat essential hypertension. Rosuvastatin is used to manage various forms of hypercholesterolemia and hyperlipidemia that are difficult to control with diet and exercise, particularly playing a role in slowing the progression of atherosclerosis. Additionally, it contributes to reducing the risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and vascular revascularization in patients with high cardiovascular risk. This medication treats both hypertension and dyslipidemia to improve cardiovascular health.
