Improvement of iron deficiency anemia
Iron deficiency anemia occurs when there is a lack of iron in the body. This medication helps supplement iron and aids in the production of red blood cells in the blood, alleviating the symptoms of anemia. Therefore, it is effective for the treatment of iron deficiency anemia.
For adults using capsules: 150 mg of iron once daily. For adults using syrup (excluding Hemotop Syrup): 100 mg to 200 mg of iron once daily. For adults using syrup (Hemotop Syrup): 100 mg to 200 mg of iron once daily. For adults using tablets: 50 mg to 100 mg of iron, twice daily.
Syrup (excluding Hemotop Syrup) for children 6 years and older: 100 mg once daily. Syrup (Hemotop Syrup) for children 7 to 12 years: 100 mg once daily. Syrup (Hemotop Syrup) for children 2 to 6 years: 50 mg once daily.
This medication can cause serious poisoning that may threaten life if accidentally taken in excess by children, and should be stored in a safe place out of reach of children. Individuals allergic to any ingredient in this medication or infants under 12 months, and patients with certain iron metabolism disorders should not take this medication. It is advisable to avoid taking this medication simultaneously with drugs such as phosphates, calcium salts, certain antibiotics, and antacids. During treatment, it is recommended to avoid teas containing tannins, such as green tea or black tea, as well as milk and dairy products. If you are undergoing treatment, have gastrointestinal diseases, heart or kidney issues, or specific blood disorders, you must consult with a healthcare professional before taking this medication. If you experience abnormal symptoms such as hives, skin rashes, abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, fever, etc. while taking this medication, you should immediately stop taking it and consult a professional. It is essential to strictly adhere to the prescribed dosage and administration and to accurately determine the cause of anemia before taking it. If taken by children, supervision by a guardian is required. Store this medication away from direct sunlight in a cool, dry place, and do not transfer to a different container.
Hives, itching, severe allergic reactions upon exposure to sunlight.
Abdominal pain, gastrointestinal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, occasional elevation of AST and ALT, rare elevation of ALP, nausea, loss of appetite, constipation, black stools, tooth discoloration, gastric discomfort, gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhea due to overdose, loss of appetite, abdominal pain, hematemesis, rectal bleeding, lethargy, malaise, intestinal obstruction in case of poisoning, hypernatremia, congestive heart failure, edema, gastrointestinal disturbances and symptoms associated with overdose.
Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.
This medication should not be taken together with phosphates, calcium salts, oral tetracycline antibiotics, or antacids. If taken with iron-containing preparations, anti-aldosterone agents, triamterene, quinolone classes, penicillamine, cholestyramine, pancreatic extracts and vitamin E, diphosphonic acid salts, thyroxine, cefdinir preparations, or more than 200 mg of ascorbic acid (vitamin C), consult with a physician or pharmacist.
This medication should be avoided during use or before and after taking in combination with teas that contain tannins, such as green tea, black tea, and milk or dairy products.
This medication can be sensitive to air and moisture, so it must be stored in a tightly sealed container. The storage temperature should ideally be maintained at room temperature between 1°C and 30°C. Proper storage will help maintain the potency of the medication safely.
