Treatment and prevention of gastric and duodenal ulcers, eradication, reflux disease, and gastric acid hypersecretion
This medication is used for the short-term treatment of active duodenal ulcers and active benign gastric ulcers. It is also effective in eradicating Helicobacter pylori infection to prevent recurrence of duodenal ulcers. It is used for maintenance therapy after ulcer treatment and helps in the treatment and reduction of the risk of gastric ulcers induced by non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. It is utilized for short-term treatment and maintenance of gastroesophageal reflux disease and erosive esophagitis. Lastly, this drug is used to treat conditions of excessive gastric acid secretion, such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Thus, it is widely used in the treatment and prevention of various gastrointestinal disorders.

Pathological hypersecretory conditions, including Zollinger-Ellison syndrome Lansoprazole dosing for pathological hypersecretory conditions varies by individual patient.
