(Hypertension, heart failure) improvement and treatment effects for hyperlipidemia
This medication is used for patients who need to take both valsartan and rosuvastatin simultaneously. Valsartan helps to reduce the risks of essential hypertension, heart failure, and mortality after myocardial infarction. It is particularly effective for heart failure patients intolerant to ACE inhibitors. Rosuvastatin is primarily used to treat hyperlipidemia and various dyslipidemias and is used as an adjunct when dietary control is insufficient. It also reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases, delays the progression of atherosclerosis, and decreases the risks of stroke and myocardial infarction. Therefore, this medication is used to improve cardiovascular risks related to hypertension, heart failure, and hyperlipidemia.
◆ Valsartan 1. Essential Hypertension Take with water during meals or between meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time every day (e.g., in the morning). Adults: The recommended dose of valsartan is 80 mg orally once daily. Patients not well controlled on this dosage may increase to 160 mg or combine with a diuretic, with the maximum dose being 320 mg per day. Heart Failure Adults:
Children: Safety and efficacy have not been established in pediatric patients under 18 years of age. Therefore, it should not be administered.
This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus if taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, so it must be stopped immediately if pregnancy is confirmed. Women who are pregnant or could become pregnant and nursing mothers should not take this medication. Patients with severely impaired liver function, very poor kidney function, and certain muscle diseases should not use this medication. Elderly patients or those with high blood potassium levels and patients with slightly impaired liver function should use this medication with caution. This medication may cause muscle pain or muscle weakness and, although rare, can cause serious muscle damage; thus, any muscle-related symptoms must be reported to a healthcare provider immediately. During treatment with this medication, it is important to regularly check liver and kidney function, as well as blood potassium levels through blood tests. There may be interactions when taken with other medications, so all medications being taken should be reported to the healthcare provider. Dizziness or drowsiness may occur when driving or operating machinery, so caution is needed. In case of overdose, there are no specific antidotes; therefore, immediate medical attention is required for appropriate treatment. This medication is not recommended for children and adolescents as its safety and efficacy have not been established in this population. Keep this medication out of reach of children and do not transfer it to other containers for safety.

This medication is sensitive to light, so it should be stored in a special container that does not allow light in. Moreover, it should be stored at room temperature, away from extremes of heat or cold, ideally between 1 to 30 degrees Celsius.
