Treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (including erosive esophagitis), treatment and prevention of recurrence of Helicobacter pylori-induced peptic ulcers, relief of upper gastrointestinal symptoms related to nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, treatment and prevention of gastric and duodenal ulcers, treatment effect for Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
This medication is used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease, erosive esophagitis, and to prevent recurrence in patients with esophagitis. It also helps in the treatment of duodenal ulcers and peptic ulcers associated with Helicobacter pylori infection and prevents recurrence. It is effective for the short-term treatment of upper gastrointestinal symptoms caused by the use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and for the treatment and prevention of gastric and duodenal ulcers. It is used for maintenance therapy to prevent rebleeding due to gastric or duodenal ulcers in Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Overall, it is widely used for the treatment of gastrointestinal-related diseases and symptom improvement.
This medication should be swallowed whole with liquids such as water and should not be chewed or crushed. 1. Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) - Treatment of erosive esophagitis: Administer 40 mg once daily for 4 weeks. If not improved or symptoms persist, continue for an additional 4 weeks. - Long-term maintenance therapy to prevent recurrence of esophagitis: 20 mg once daily. - Symptomatic treatment for gastroesophageal reflux disease without esophagitis:
Adolescents aged 12 years and older 1. Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) - Treatment of erosive esophagitis: Administer 40 mg once daily for 4 weeks. If not improved or symptoms persist, continue for an additional 4 weeks.
This medication should not be administered to certain patients. For instance, individuals who are allergic to this medication or its ingredients, or who are allergic to penicillin or macrolide antibiotics should avoid taking it. Additionally, it is safer for individuals who are on certain heart-related medications or have a history of myocardial infarction, and for nursing women, to refrain from taking this medication. Various adverse reactions may occur when taking this medication, including headache, abdominal pain, diarrhea, skin rash, and muscle pain. Rare but severe skin reactions or blood disorders may occur, so if symptoms are severe or unusual, you should consult healthcare professionals immediately. It is important to have regular check-ups while taking this medication for long-term treatment. Also, this medication suppresses gastric acid, which may slightly increase the risk of bacterial infections in the stomach, so if diarrhea persists, you should visit a hospital. This medication may interact with other drugs, particularly anticoagulants, antibiotics, and antivirals, so caution is needed when taking them together. Pregnant or nursing women should consult their physician before taking this medication. In the case of overdose, there is no specific antidote, and treatment should be received based on the symptoms. It should be kept out of reach of children.
Urticaria, angioedema, anaphylactic reactions, shock, severe allergic responses, jaundice, hepatitis, liver failure, encephalopathy, liver abnormalities (jaundice), Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis, acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis, drug reactions with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms (DRESS syndrome), severe skin adverse reactions, severe headaches, seizures, altered consciousness, visual disturbances, paralysis, severe neurological symptoms, decreased urine output.
Headache, dizziness, insomnia, anxiety, mental confusion, depression, aggression, hallucinations, taste disorders, blurred vision, bronchospasm, abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhea, abdominal bloating, nausea, vomiting, dry mouth, stomatitis, gastrointestinal candidiasis, increased liver enzymes, dermatitis, itching, rash, hair loss, photosensitivity, fractures, arthralgia, myalgia, muscle weakness, fatigue, increased sweating, clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea, allergic reactions, back pain, chest pain.

Store this medication in a tightly closed container to prevent air or moisture from entering, and keep it at a temperature between 1°C and 30°C at room temperature. This will help maintain the medication's effectiveness for a long time.
