This medication is used for patients who need to take both amlodipine and atorvastatin simultaneously. Amlodipine improves symptoms of myocardial ischemia due to coronary artery disease such as hypertension and stable or variant angina, and reduces the risk of hospitalization for angina in patients with coronary artery disease without heart failure. Atorvastatin decreases the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and vascular procedures in patients with various cardiovascular risk factors. It also improves hypercholesterolemia and dyslipidemia and helps reduce risks associated with heart failure and angina. The combination of these two medications is used to effectively manage hypertension and cardiovascular risk factors for the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
