How to take

Adult dose

Typically, adults take 200 mg orally once a day. This medication should be taken on an empty stomach, avoiding meals.

Precautions

This medication may increase heart rate and worsen angina symptoms, so careful observation for symptoms such as chest pain is necessary. It should not be used in patients with a risk of bleeding or those who have had a recent hemorrhagic stroke, active gastric ulcer, etc. Patients with congestive heart failure or those with a history of allergic reactions to this medication's components, as well as pregnant or breastfeeding women, should avoid its use. Caution is advised for patients taking anticoagulants or antiplatelet drugs, women during menstruation, patients with heart disease, patients with severely impaired kidney or liver function, etc. During use, side effects such as headache, diarrhea, palpitations, and joint swelling may occur, and if severe bleeding or an allergic reaction occurs, consultation with a doctor should be sought immediately. For patients with cerebral infarction, it should be administered after symptoms are stabilized, blood pressure should be well-controlled, and any signs of bleeding should be reported immediately. This medication can cause dizziness, so caution is necessary when driving or operating machinery. Taking it with food may increase blood concentration, raising the risk of side effects, so it is recommended to take this medication on an empty stomach and maintain a gap of more than 3 hours between administration and meals. Patients with impaired liver or kidney function and the elderly may be affected by drug metabolism and excretion, so dosage adjustments and caution are needed. There may be interactions with other medications, especially when taken with anticoagulants, antiplatelet agents, or CYP3A4 or CYP2C19 inhibitors; consultation with a doctor or pharmacist is recommended. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant should avoid its use, and breastfeeding mothers should discontinue breastfeeding while taking this medication. Safety in children has not been sufficiently confirmed, so it is best not to use it in pediatric patients. In case of overdose, symptoms such as headache, diarrhea, hypotension, and tachycardia may appear, and immediate medical attention should be sought for appropriate treatment.
