Antipyretic effect for fever caused by acute upper respiratory tract infections
This medication is used to lower fever caused by acute upper respiratory tract infections.

Pediatric patients aged 6 months and older may take a dose of 0.4 to 0.6 mL/kg (5 to 7 mg/kg of Dexibuprofen) every 4 to 6 hours as needed, not exceeding a maximum of 4 times a day (28 mg/kg).
This medication should be consulted with a doctor or pharmacist before taking for people who regularly consume more than 3 alcoholic drinks per day. There is a risk of gastrointestinal bleeding for those who consume alcohol heavily and take this medication. This medication may increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases and may lead to serious complications such as myocardial infarction or stroke. People with cardiovascular diseases or risk factors need to be particularly cautious when taking this medication. If cardiovascular symptoms appear while taking this medication, immediate consultation with a healthcare professional is necessary. Those with hypertension, heart failure, ischemic heart disease, peripheral artery disease, or cerebrovascular diseases should use this medication cautiously and avoid high doses. This medication can increase the risk of serious side effects such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, and perforations. Older adults or those with a history of gastrointestinal diseases should observe for gastrointestinal abnormal symptoms carefully. Individuals with peptic ulcer disease, severe blood disorders, liver dysfunction, kidney impairment, heart failure, severe hypertension, or hypersensitivity to drug components should not take this medication. Patients with bronchial asthma or those who have had an allergic reaction to aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs should also avoid this medication. Those with a history of peptic ulcers, blood disorders, tendency to bleed, liver or kidney dysfunction, heart failure, hypertension, or hypersensitivity should use this medication cautiously. Additionally, individuals with autoimmune diseases, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, older adults, stomach cancer patients, and those taking low-dose aspirin should also exercise caution. Rarely, while taking this medication, shock, blood disorders, gastrointestinal adverse reactions, skin rashes, liver dysfunction, hypersensitivity, visual impairment, neurological symptoms, kidney abnormalities, and cardiovascular abnormalities may occur. This medication should be used at the lowest effective dose and for the shortest duration, and regular blood and liver and kidney function tests are necessary for long-term use. In cases of acute inflammation or pain, the administration period should be limited to 5 days. This medication should be used cautiously in conjunction with appropriate antimicrobial agents for treating inflammation caused by infections. This medication may exacerbate hypertension, so blood pressure should be closely monitored during initial dosing and throughout the treatment period. Heart failure patients should be cautious as fluid retention or edema may occur. There is a risk of kidney damage; therefore, kidney function should be monitored particularly in patients with compromised renal function. If signs of liver dysfunction appear, administration should be discontinued immediately and a doctor consulted. It may affect platelet function, so patients at risk of bleeding should be monitored closely. Serious allergic reactions such as anaphylaxis can rarely occur; therefore, immediate treatment is required if symptoms present. If severe rashes or symptoms occur on the skin, discontinuation of medication is necessary. This medication may have interactions when taken with aspirin, so it is recommended to avoid co-administration. This medication may be harmful to the fetus, especially in late pregnancy, so pregnant women should avoid taking it. Nursing mothers should consider discontinuing breastfeeding or the medication as it can be transmitted through breast milk and may affect the baby. Caution should be exercised when administering to children or older adults, and particular attention should be paid to the occurrence of adverse reactions. There may be interactions with other medications, so inform healthcare professionals about any other medications being taken. In case of overdose, immediate emergency measures such as gastric lavage or inducing vomiting are necessary. Consult with a doctor or pharmacist when using together with glucocorticoids, alcohol, digoxin, phenytoin, probenecid, sulfinpyrazone, sulfonylureas, diuretics, antihypertensives, ACE inhibitors, furosemide, aspirin, lithium, methotrexate, and coumarin anticoagulants.
