Precautions

This drug should not be used in certain patients. Patients who have an allergy to this drug or have severe muscle weakness, and those with a genetic disorder that prevents lactose digestion should not take this medication. Caution is necessary when using this medication in patients with a history of drug allergies or weakened liver function. Additionally, this drug contains a pigment called Yellow No. 4, and caution is warranted for individuals who are allergic to this component. While taking this medication, severe allergic reactions such as shock may rarely occur, so symptoms should be closely monitored. Liver function test values may increase, and kidney function may become impaired, so regular checks are necessary. Neurological symptoms such as anemia, skin rash, itching, insomnia, drowsiness, headaches, and tingling in the hands and feet may appear. Gastrointestinal issues may include nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and constipation, requiring caution. Urinary issues may arise, leading to problems with urination, and generalized feelings of weakness or dizziness may also be experienced. Rarely, flushing of the face, sweating, and swelling may occur. This drug can cause serious skin conditions such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome, so if symptoms such as rashes, blisters, itching, eye redness, or oral inflammation appear, usage should be immediately discontinued, and medical attention should be sought. Drowsiness or decreased concentration may occur during treatment, so it is advisable to avoid driving or operating dangerous machinery. If severe weakness or staggering occurs, dosage should be reduced or discontinued. Caution should be observed if taken with other muscle relaxants, as visual control problems may arise; always consult with a physician when taking this drug with others. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should take this drug only if the therapeutic benefits outweigh the risks, as its safety is not confirmed. Nursing mothers should avoid taking this medication; if it is necessary, breastfeeding should be discontinued. Safety has not been fully established in children, so caution is needed for use. Elderly patients may experience decreased bodily function, so careful attention is required, including dosage adjustments.
