Precautions

This medication contains lactose, so it should not be used by patients with genetic conditions such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption. Care should be taken as gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, abdominal discomfort, diarrhea, and vomiting may occur during treatment. In rare cases, serious liver problems such as liver dysfunction or jaundice may occur, so if liver dysfunction is suspected, the medication should be stopped immediately and a medical facility should be visited. Allergic reactions such as skin rash, urticaria, or angioedema, as well as neurological symptoms such as dizziness and headache, may also present, so it is advisable to consult with healthcare professionals if these symptoms occur. Since taking this medication with food may alter its efficacy, it is generally recommended to take it on an empty stomach. If symptoms do not improve after taking the medication for more than two weeks, it is safer not to continue long-term use. Taking this medication together with anticholinergics may reduce its effectiveness, so caution should be exercised regarding the dosing intervals between the two medications. Pregnant women or women who may become pregnant should consult a doctor if this medication is required and should use it only if the benefits outweigh the risks. Nursing mothers should avoid this medication or discontinue breastfeeding if necessary. The safety of this medication in children has not been established, so caution is needed as there is no experience with its use. Elderly patients may have reduced kidney and liver function, so administration should be closely monitored, and dosage adjustments may be necessary if adverse reactions occur. Finally, this medication should be kept out of the reach of children, and it is better not to transfer it to other containers.
