View approved original text

This medication helps to reduce elevated triglyceride levels in patients with endogenous hypertriglyceridemia. It is used alone for the treatment of hypertriglyceridemia (Type IV), and in combination with statins for the mixed type (Type IIb) that includes both hypercholesterolemia and hypertriglyceridemia to enhance effects. It is particularly helpful in managing mixed type patients whose triglyceride levels are not controlled with monotherapy. Therefore, this medication is effective in improving blood lipid levels tailored to various types of hypertriglyceridemia.
