Precautions

This medication should not be administered to certain patients. Patients who have had allergic reactions to this medication or its components should not use it. Additionally, it is not administered to patients with orthostatic hypotension, as symptoms may worsen due to sudden drops in blood pressure. Patients with severe liver impairment may have elevated blood levels of this medication, so caution is needed. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should not take this medication. As this medication contains lactose, patients with lactose intolerance or related genetic disorders should also avoid use. Patients with severe kidney disorders or elderly patients should use this medication with caution. Furthermore, caution is advisable for patients taking PDE5 inhibitors, CYP3A4 inhibitors, antihypertensives, or alpha-1 blockers due to potential interactions. In particular, patients on alpha-1 blockers should generally not use this medication, but if necessary, it should be administered cautiously. Patients with a history of urinary syncope should also use this medication with caution. Side effects that may occur while taking this medication include dizziness, headache, dyspepsia, diarrhea, and abdominal discomfort. Also, rare side effects may include low blood pressure, palpitations, rash, itching, nausea, vomiting, and liver function abnormalities; any unusual symptoms should prompt immediate consultation with a physician. As this medication can lower blood pressure, care should be taken to avoid overdose, especially since blood pressure can drop suddenly when standing; it is recommended to change positions slowly. Caution is advised when driving or operating machinery, as dizziness and related symptoms can lead to accidents. This medication is limited to alleviating symptoms, so if it is ineffective, other treatment options should be considered. Additionally, if prolonged erections occur, prompt treatment should be sought, and special precautions may be necessary during eye surgery while taking this medication. This medication is not for use in children or women, and safety has not been established in elderly patients with severe kidney disorders. When taking this medication, as it is in controlled-release form, it should not be crushed or chewed, and should be taken directly from the PTP packaging. Keep out of reach of children, and it is advisable not to transfer to another container. Finally, this medication may interact with other drugs; if taking other medications, it is essential to inform and consult your doctor or pharmacist.
