Precautions

This medication is a steroid ointment for use on the skin and should not be used in patients with specific infections. For example, it should not be administered in cases of bacterial, fungal, viral skin infections, or infections caused by animals, as symptoms may worsen. Additionally, it is not to be used in patients who have had allergic reactions to this medication or its ingredients, patients with tympanic membrane perforation, patients with ulcers or severe burns, perioral dermatitis patients, individuals with common acne, rosacea, patients suffering from itching around the anus or genitals, and infants under the age of 2. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, nursing mothers, children, elderly individuals, and those who are allergic to propylene glycol included in this medication should use it with caution. There may be a risk of skin infection when using this medication, and sealing with a bandage may increase the risk of infection. Various skin side effects such as skin irritation, rash, itching, and dry skin can appear, and long-term use may lead to changes such as thinning of the skin or dilation of blood vessels. Extensive or prolonged use may affect the hormonal balance throughout the body, necessitating regular checks. Caution should be exercised when using around the eyes due to the risk of increased intraocular pressure and glaucoma, and if visual disturbances such as blurring occur, immediate ophthalmologic evaluation is required. This medication is not generally to be used for eczemas or dermatitis accompanied by skin infections, and if it must be used, it should be accompanied by appropriate antibiotics. Discontinuation should occur as soon as improvement in symptoms is observed, and if symptoms do not improve or worsen, use should be stopped immediately. During pregnancy or breastfeeding, the safety of this medication has not been established, and it should only be used under the judgment of a physician when absolutely necessary. Caution is especially needed in children and the elderly as side effects may appear more readily, and prolonged use beyond 3 weeks is not recommended. This medication is not for ophthalmic use and should not be used for purposes other than treatment after cosmetics or shaving. The sealed bandage method should be used only under the direction of a physician, and the affected area must be cleaned before use to reduce the risk of infection. After use, store in a safe place out of the reach of children.
