This medication is used to reduce elevated triglyceride levels in patients with endogenous hypertriglyceridemia. It is effective alone for hypertriglyceridemia (type IV) and can be administered in combination with statins for combined hypercholesterolemia and hypertriglyceridemia (type IIb). It helps particularly patients with uncontrolled triglyceride levels in combined hypercholesterolemia and hypertriglyceridemia through combination therapy, thus improving blood lipid levels and contributing to the prevention of cardiovascular diseases.
