Precautions

This medication contains lactose; therefore, it should not be used by patients with genetic conditions such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption. When taking this medication, gastrointestinal adverse reactions such as diarrhea, vomiting, and abdominal pain may occur, along with hypersensitivity symptoms such as liver function abnormalities or rash. In the rare case of severe liver dysfunction, serious hepatitis or jaundice may appear; therefore, if symptoms are suspected, discontinue taking the medication immediately and seek medical attention. If symptoms do not improve after a certain period of use, it is advisable not to use it for a prolonged period. Since taking it with food may increase the drug's blood concentration, it is recommended to take it on an empty stomach. When taken with anticholinergics, the effectiveness of this medication may be reduced, so a sufficient interval should be maintained between the two medications. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant should use this medication only if the benefits of treatment are considered greater than the risks, and nursing mothers should avoid taking it if possible or discontinue breastfeeding. Safety in pediatric patients has not been established, so it is advisable not to use it in children. Elderly patients may have decreased kidney and liver function, so their condition should be closely monitored, and the dosage should be reduced if necessary. Lastly, this medication should be stored out of reach of children, and care should be taken not to transfer it to another container, as this may lead to accidents or quality deterioration.
