This medication is used for patients who require simultaneous administration of both valsartan and rosuvastatin. Valsartan is primarily used to treat essential hypertension, heart failure, especially in patients intolerant to ACE inhibitors, and to reduce the risk of mortality after myocardial infarction. Meanwhile, rosuvastatin is prescribed as an adjunct when dietary measures and exercise do not adequately control hypercholesterolemia and mixed hyperlipidemia. It is also beneficial for patients with homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia and dysbetalipoproteinemia. Furthermore, it is effective in reducing the risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and revascularization in patients with elevated high-sensitivity C-reactive protein levels or other cardiovascular risk factors. Valsartan 1. Essential hypertension: Administer with water during meals or between meals. Adults: The recommended oral dose is 80 mg once daily, and if blood pressure control is insufficient, the dose may be increased to a maximum of 320 mg daily. 2. This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus if taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, so it should be discontinued immediately if pregnancy is confirmed. It is not safe for patients with severely impaired liver function or certain liver diseases to take this medication.
