Precautions

This medication should not be used by patients who have had allergic reactions to it or its components. Patients with orthostatic hypotension may experience worsening of symptoms when taking this medication and should be cautious. Patients with severely impaired liver function may have elevated blood concentration levels when taking this medication; therefore, it should be avoided. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should not use this medication for safety. Patients with very poor kidney function or elderly patients should use this medication carefully, and drug interactions with other medications being taken should also be considered. Particularly, when taking this medication with antihypertensives, PDE5 inhibitors, or CYP3A4 inhibitors, the risk of side effects such as blood pressure reduction may increase, and consultation with a healthcare professional is recommended. This medication can lower blood pressure, so adherence to the prescribed dosage is essential to avoid hypotension in case of overdose. Dizziness or drowsiness may occur while taking this medication; caution should be exercised when driving or performing high-risk tasks. This medication may present symptoms similar to prostate cancer and benign prostatic hyperplasia, so confirming the presence of prostate cancer before administration is important. Additionally, there is a rare risk of a serious side effect known as priapism; should any unusual symptoms arise, inform a healthcare professional immediately. Do not chew or crush this medication; swallow it whole, and keep it out of reach of children. Allergic reactions, gastrointestinal discomfort, dizziness, headache and other side effects may occur; consult a doctor if symptoms worsen.
