Precautions

This drug should not be used by patients who have had an allergic reaction to this drug or its components. Patients with orthostatic hypotension should be cautious as symptoms may worsen with this medication. It is advisable not to use it in patients with severely impaired liver function as blood levels may increase. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant should not take this drug. Patients with severely impaired kidney function should use it cautiously as blood levels may increase. Elderly patients may have different drug responses, so it's advisable to consult a physician before use. Interactions may occur if taken with certain antihypertensive agents, PDE5 inhibitors, or CYP3A4 inhibitors, so consultation with a specialist is essential. This drug may cause orthostatic hypotension, so patients on alpha-1 blockers should be especially cautious and use it only when necessary. Patients with a history of urination syncope should also use this drug carefully. This medication can cause side effects such as dizziness, headache, dyspepsia, diarrhea, and abdominal discomfort. Rarely, serious adverse reactions like allergic reactions, hypotension, palpitations, liver function abnormalities, and priapism may occur; therefore, if unusual symptoms occur, notify healthcare personnel immediately. Overdose may lead to significant hypotension; adherence to the prescribed dose is crucial. Caution should be taken as sudden position changes may increase the risk of dizziness or syncope, and care should be exercised during dangerous activities like driving or operating machinery. As this medication does not treat the underlying cause, if symptoms do not improve, alternative treatments should be considered. Since it is a sustained-release tablet, it should be swallowed whole and not chewed or crushed, and kept out of reach of children. Its safety has not been established in pregnant or breastfeeding women or children under 18. Before taking this drug, it is essential to check for prostate cancer, and inform the doctor if surgery for cataracts or glaucoma is planned. Caution is required for patients with sulfa allergies, as they may experience allergic reactions to this medication.
