This medication should not be administered to patients who have had an allergic reaction to this drug or any of its components. Patients with symptoms of orthostatic hypotension should avoid use, as their symptoms may worsen. Patients with severely impaired liver function may experience elevated drug concentrations, so administration should be avoided. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should not take this medication. Patients with severely impaired kidney function should use this drug carefully, as its concentration may increase. Elderly patients may have different physiological responses, so caution should be exercised during administration. When taken with antihypertensives, certain cardiovascular drugs, or PDE5 inhibitors, there may be a risk of hypotension or other side effects, necessitating consultation with healthcare professionals. Patients currently taking alpha1-blockers generally should not use this drug together, but if absolutely necessary, it must be administered with great care. Patients with a history of urinary syncope should also be cautious when using this medication. This drug may cause side effects, including dizziness, headache, dyspepsia, diarrhea, abdominal discomfort, and decrease in semen volume. Rarely, symptoms such as hypotension, orthostatic dizziness, skin rashes, itching, liver dysfunction, and prolonged erection may occur; therefore, if any unusual symptoms arise, immediate consultation with healthcare personnel is advised. Overdosing on this drug may result in excessively low blood pressure; thus, the prescribed dosage must be strictly adhered to. During treatment, dizziness may occur upon sudden standing, making it important to rise slowly. This drug helps relieve symptoms but is not a treatment for the underlying cause, so alternative treatment options should be considered if no effect is observed. Dizziness may occur when driving or working at heights, necessitating caution. This drug may cause allergic reactions, particularly in patients with a history of sulfa drug allergies. It is safer to confirm the absence of prostate cancer before administration. Patients scheduled for cataract or glaucoma surgery should discuss potential complications during surgery with healthcare professionals. This medication is not to be used by pregnant women or individuals under 18 years of age. Elderly patients with severely impaired kidney function should use it with caution, as its safety has not been established. This drug is an extended-release formulation; it must not be chewed or crushed and should be taken directly from the package. Keep out of reach of children and avoid transferring to other containers. Interactions may occur if taken with other medications; therefore, all drugs being taken should be disclosed to healthcare personnel. Particularly, caution is advised when concomitantly using antihypertensives, PDE5 inhibitors, and CYP3A4 inhibitors due to increased risk of side effects.
