Precautions

This medicine should not be used in certain patients. For example, individuals allergic to this medicine or its components should not take it. Additionally, those with orthostatic hypotension, severely impaired liver function, and pregnant or potentially pregnant women should not use this medicine. Patients requiring caution while using this medicine include those with severely impaired kidney function, elderly individuals, and those taking specific antihypertensives or other medications. In particular, if taking alpha-1 blockers or PDE5 inhibitors, consultation with a doctor is essential. Taking this medicine may result in side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, lowered blood pressure, heart irregularities, and skin rashes. Rarely, severe allergic reactions, liver dysfunction, or persistent erections may occur, and if any unusual symptoms arise, a doctor should be contacted immediately. Overdosing can lead to dangerously low blood pressure, so the prescribed dosage must be strictly followed. There may be a risk of dizziness when standing up, so changing positions slowly is advisable. This medicine helps alleviate symptoms, but it does not treat the underlying cause. If no effect is observed, alternative treatments such as surgery should be considered. Caution is needed when driving or working at heights due to dizziness. As this medicine is an alpha-1 blocker, a rare condition called priapism may occur. If this condition persists, permanent problems may arise, so immediate medical attention is necessary. Patients planning cataract or glaucoma surgery must inform their healthcare provider of this medication, as special precautions will be required during surgery. Individuals with a history of sulfa drug allergy should be cautious, as allergic reactions may occur when using this medication. This medicine may interact with other drugs. Particularly with antihypertensives, PDE5 inhibitors, certain antifungal or antibiotic agents, and some psychiatric medications, consult a doctor or pharmacist before use. Pregnant or nursing women should not use this medicine as its safety has not been established. Children under 18 should not take this medicine. Elderly patients may have reduced kidney function, so they should start with a low dose and gradually increase it while monitoring their condition. This medicine is an extended-release formulation and should not be chewed or opened. It must be taken directly from the PTP packaging. Improper use may harm the esophagus, so caution is advised. Keep this medicine out of reach of children, and do not transfer it to other containers. It is crucial to consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine to ensure it is suitable for one's condition.
