Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients who are allergic to any of its components or have a genetic lactose intolerance issue. Patients with impaired renal function, heart disease, or liver disease should be cautious when using this medication, and older adults should also use it with care. This medication can rarely cause serious allergic reactions or blood disorders, skin disorders, liver dysfunction, muscle damage, cardiac arrhythmias, consciousness disturbances, kidney disorders, and pulmonary diseases; if unusual symptoms occur, the medication should be discontinued immediately, and a physician should be consulted. Generally, it is important to monitor changes in symptoms while taking this medication and to undergo regular blood tests, as well as liver and kidney function tests. This medication dissolves in the mouth but is not absorbed through the oral mucosa, so it must be swallowed with water or saliva. Additionally, when taken alongside certain antifungals or specific anticancer drugs, the effect of this medication may be reduced; therefore, it is essential to inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking other medications. Older adults may need to reduce the dosage or increase the intervals between doses due to a higher likelihood of impaired renal function. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should take this medication only after carefully considering its benefits and risks, and breastfeeding women are advised to discontinue breastfeeding as this medication may be transmitted through breast milk. Safety in children has not been sufficiently established, so this medication should be administered to children with caution. Finally, this medication may mask symptoms of gastric cancer, so it should only be used after confirming that it is not gastric cancer.
