Precautions

This medication should not be used in certain patients. It should not be administered to those with a history of allergy to this medication or its components. Patients with orthostatic hypotension may experience worsening symptoms and should not be treated. Patients with severely impaired liver function may have elevated blood drug concentrations and should avoid use. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should not take this medication. Patients with severe kidney impairment should use it cautiously due to potential increased drug concentrations. Elderly individuals may have different reactions to the drug, necessitating caution. There may be interactions when taken with certain antihypertensive agents or other medications, requiring vigilance. In particular, patients taking antihypertensives may have an increased risk of orthostatic hypotension. In general, this medication should not be used in those taking alpha-1 blockers, but can be cautiously administered in necessary cases. Patients with a past history of urinary syncope should also exercise caution when using this medication. This medication contains specific dyes, and caution is warranted for those allergic to such components. Taking this medication may result in various side effects including dizziness, abdominal discomfort, diarrhea, headache, etc. Rarely, serious allergic reactions, blood pressure drop, or prolonged erections may occur, and any abnormal symptoms should be immediately discussed with a healthcare professional. Warning is advised when suddenly changing positions due to the risk of syncope or loss of consciousness from blood pressure drop. Overdose of this medication may lead to excessively low blood pressure; therefore, prescribed dosages must be adhered to. If dizziness occurs while using this medication, it is recommended to avoid working at heights or driving. This medication is for symptom relief, not curative treatment, so alternative therapies should be considered if ineffective. This medication should not be chewed or opened and must be taken with water. It should specifically be taken out of its PTP packaging, ensuring the entire package is not swallowed. Keep it out of reach of children, and it is advisable not to transfer it to another container. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should not take this medication, as its safety has not been established. Safety and efficacy in children under 18 have also not been confirmed, and it should not be used in this age group. This medication may interact with certain enzyme inhibitors or antihypertensive agents, so it is essential to inform healthcare professionals of any other medications being taken. In particular, caution is needed when taken with strong CYP3A4 inhibitors as drug concentrations may increase.
