Precautions

This medication should not be used by patients who have had allergic reactions to this drug or its components. Patients with orthostatic hypotension may experience worsened symptoms and should avoid administration. Patients with severely impaired liver function should not use this drug as blood drug concentration may increase. Pregnant women or women who may become pregnant should not use this medication. Patients with severely impaired kidney function should use it cautiously due to the risk of increased drug concentration. Elderly patients may have different drug responses due to reduced bodily function, so caution is necessary. Interactions may occur when taken with antihypertensive agents, PDE5 inhibitors, CYP3A4 inhibitors, etc. In particular, the risk of orthostatic hypotension increases when combined with alpha-1 blockers, so it should only be used cautiously when absolutely necessary. Patients with a history of urinary syncope should also use this drug with caution. This medication contains Yellow No. 5 dye, so patients with an allergy to this component should also be careful. Side effects such as abdominal discomfort, dizziness, headache, diarrhea, and dyspepsia may occur. In severe cases, loss of consciousness or decreased blood pressure may appear, and immediate consultation with a doctor is advised if symptoms worsen. This medication may be used in conjunction with other treatments such as surgery for therapeutic effect; if ineffective, consult a doctor. Dizziness or drowsiness may occur while driving or performing dangerous tasks, so caution is required. In rare cases, patients taking alpha-1 blockers may experience priapism, and if any unusual symptoms occur, they should immediately inform healthcare professionals. This medication is not used in children or women, and safety has not been established in elderly patients with severe renal impairment. When taking the medication, swallow it whole, do not crush or chew the capsule.
