Improvement of blood sugar control in type 2 diabetes
This medication is used in conjunction with dietary and exercise therapy to improve blood sugar control in patients with type 2 diabetes. It can be administered alone or in combination with other drugs. This effectively aids in blood sugar management.
The recommended dose for this medication is 5mg once daily. It can be taken regardless of meals.
This medication should not be used in patients with allergies to the main ingredient or other components. It should also not be administered to patients with type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis. Caution is necessary when used with insulin or sulfonylurea medications that may cause hypoglycemia, as the risk of hypoglycemia may increase. In patients with mild to moderate heart failure, it should be used cautiously, and it is not recommended for patients with severe heart failure. Acute pancreatitis may occur, so if severe abdominal pain persists, the use of this medication should be stopped immediately and a doctor should be consulted. Skin conditions resembling pemphigus may occur, so if blisters or skin erosion appear, immediate medical attention should be sought. Hypoglycemic symptoms may appear during the use of this medication, so immediate action should be taken if symptoms are noted. Severe arthralgia accompanied by disability has been reported; hence, if severe joint pain occurs, the use of this medication should be discontinued and discussed with a doctor. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding are advised to avoid using this medication, with particular caution for nursing mothers. Safety and efficacy have not been established for children under 10 years old or for pediatrics and adolescents aged 10 to 17, so it is not recommended for them. Elderly patients may use it without special dosage adjustments, and patients with impaired kidney or liver function can also be administered without dosage adjustments. In cases of overdose, unabsorbed medication should be removed from the gastrointestinal tract, symptoms should be monitored, and necessary treatments should be initiated. This medication should be kept out of reach of children, and transferring it to other containers is not advisable for quality and safety reasons.

This medication should be stored in a tightly closed container to prevent exposure to air or moisture. The appropriate storage temperature is room temperature between 1 to 30 degrees Celsius, avoiding excessively hot or cold areas.
