Precautions
This medication can put strain on the liver, so those who regularly consume more than three drinks a day should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking it. Due to the acetaminophen component, rare but severe skin rashes or blistering skin reactions may occur, so if abnormal skin symptoms develop, discontinue use immediately. Care should be taken not to exceed the daily maximum dosage of 4,000mg of products containing acetaminophen and to avoid taking other acetaminophen products simultaneously. If taken with medications that contain pseudoephedrine, serious skin adverse reactions may occur, so if fever or skin rashes occur, discontinue use and consult a specialist. Those with allergies to this medication or its components, those who have a history of asthma, infants under 3 months of age, patients taking certain antidepressants or antipsychotic medications, and those allergic to soybean oil, soy, or peanuts should not take this medication. During treatment, it is safest to avoid taking cough suppressants, expectorants, other cold medicines, antipyretics, sedatives, or antihistamines together. Especially children, pregnant women, nursing mothers, and those with liver, kidney, or heart diseases should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication, as should those with a history of allergic reactions to drugs. If symptoms such as rashes, itching, nausea, dizziness, or insomnia occur during use, discontinue use immediately and consult a specialist. In the event of severe allergic reactions, skin mucous membrane syndrome, liver function abnormalities, or respiratory distress, seek medical attention immediately. This medication must be used according to the prescribed method and dosage, and long-term use is not advisable; alcohol should be avoided during use. Also, as this medication may cause drowsiness, avoid driving or operating machinery.
