This medication is used to control nausea and vomiting in pregnant women who do not respond to conservative treatment.

How to take

Adult dose

This medication is to be taken with water on an empty stomach. This tablet should be swallowed whole; it should not be crushed, cut, or chewed. The initial dose is 2 tablets once daily before bedtime. If symptoms are adequately controlled the following day, continue with 2 tablets once daily before bedtime. If symptoms persist, take 2 tablets before bedtime on the second day and 1 tablet in the morning and 2 tablets before bedtime on the third day. If symptoms are controlled, continue taking 3 tablets per day.

Precautions

This medication should not be administered to certain patients. Those who have allergies to this drug or its components, are at risk of asthma attacks, or have glaucoma, peptic ulcer, intestinal obstruction, or bladder neck obstruction should not use this medication. Patients taking certain drugs, such as monoamine oxidase inhibitors, should also avoid this medication. Those with allergies to soybean oil, soy, peanuts, etc. should also exercise caution. Patients with severe vomiting during pregnancy or those taking central nervous system depressants such as alcohol, sedatives, or tranquilizers, as well as patients with liver or kidney issues and those with lipid metabolism disorders should use this medication with caution. This medication may cause drowsiness, so it is advisable to avoid activities requiring concentration such as driving or operating machinery. Additionally, taking this drug with alcohol or central nervous system depressants may intensify drowsiness, increasing the risk of accidents. Taking this medication with food may delay its efficacy, so it is advisable to take it on an empty stomach with water. This drug can cause false positive results in certain drug tests, so patients should inform healthcare professionals about its use during testing. The safety of this medication during pregnancy has not been fully established, and it may be passed to the baby through breast milk, causing side effects such as sedation, so breastfeeding is recommended to be discontinued. The safety and efficacy in children under 18 have not been established, and special caution is required as serious side effects may occur with overdose. Symptoms of overdose may include vomiting, dizziness, confusion, and increased heart rate, requiring immediate medical attention.
