Improvement of chronic arterial occlusive disease (ulcers, pain, etc.) and prevention of recurrence of cerebral infarction
This medication helps improve ischemic symptoms such as ulcers, pain, and coldness caused by chronic arterial occlusive disease. Additionally, it serves to prevent recurrence after a cerebral infarction has occurred. Therefore, it is effectively used for preventing recurrence of chronic blood circulation disorders and cerebrovascular diseases.
Cilostazol is typically administered orally at a dose of 100mg twice a day for an adult. Adjustments can be made according to age and symptoms.
This medication may increase heart rate, so patients with angina should carefully monitor symptoms. It should not be administered to patients at risk of bleeding, those who have recently had a hemorrhagic stroke, or patients who have undergone surgery. Patients with congestive heart failure or allergies to this medication's components, as well as pregnant or breastfeeding women, should avoid its use. Patients taking anticoagulants or antiplatelets should use this medication cautiously due to an increased risk of bleeding. Women who are menstruating or patients with heart disease, renal failure, liver failure, and diabetes should also take caution when using this medication. Serious side effects such as bleeding, blood abnormalities, interstitial pneumonia, and heart problems may occur, so immediate consultation with a doctor is necessary if symptoms arise. Dizziness may occur during use, requiring caution while driving or operating machinery. This medication can interact with other drugs, particularly those metabolized in the liver or antihypertensives, so careful consideration is needed when using them together. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant should not take this medication, and breastfeeding women should stop breastfeeding while using it. Children and the elderly may require dosage adjustments due to different physiological functions. In case of overdose, severe headache, diarrhea, hypotension, and heart problems may occur, necessitating a visit to a medical institution immediately.
Hives, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor, severe rash with high fever, blisters and peeling skin, pain in the mucous membranes of the mouth/eyes, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthma attacks, respiratory abnormalities accompanied by cough and fever, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes), extreme fatigue, sudden and severe headache, lightning strike headache, seizures, altered consciousness, visual disturbances, paralysis, urination issues

This medication should be stored in a tightly closed container to prevent air and moisture from entering, and the storage temperature should be maintained at room temperature between 1°C and 30°C. Proper temperature and environment for storage can prolong the medication's effectiveness.
