In cases where ischemic symptoms such as ulcers, pain, and cold sensation due to chronic arterial occlusive disease, Buerger's disease, obstructive atherosclerosis, and diabetic peripheral vascular disease are insufficiently treated by cilostazol monotherapy, a combination therapy of cilostazol and Ginkgo Biloba extract is recommended. This combination therapy is also utilized to prevent recurrence after cerebral infarction, excluding cardiogenic cerebral embolism. This treatment helps alleviate symptoms by improving blood circulation and inhibiting thrombus formation in blood vessels. Therefore, it is effective in improving symptoms caused by circulatory disorders and preventing recurrence of cerebral infarction.

How to take

Adult dose

Take 1 tablet orally twice a day.

Precautions

This drug improves blood circulation and inhibits platelet aggregation. When taking this medication, heart rate may increase, potentially leading to angina symptoms such as chest pain; thus, symptoms should be carefully monitored. It should not be used in patients with a risk of bleeding, those who have had recent bleeding disorders, those with congestive heart failure, patients allergic to this drug or its components, or women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Additionally, caution is needed when taken with other drugs that may increase the risk of bleeding, and regular monitoring through blood tests is required. Patients with heart diseases, poor kidney or liver function, diabetics, and hypertensive patients should use this drug with caution. During use, abnormal symptoms such as bleeding, headache, dizziness, shortness of breath, or skin rash may occur, and if these symptoms occur, consult a physician immediately. This drug may cause dizziness; therefore, caution is needed when driving or operating machinery. If pregnant or breastfeeding, avoid use, and elderly patients should adjust the dosage considering physical function decline. In case of overdose, severe headache, diarrhea, hypotension, rapid heartbeat, and cardiac arrhythmia may occur; immediate medical assistance should be sought. This drug should be stored in a tightly sealed container to avoid contact with air or moisture, and it is safe to store at room temperature between 1 to 30 degrees Celsius. By storing it this way, the effectiveness of the drug can be maintained for a long time.
