Precautions

This medication should not be used on areas with bacterial or viral skin infections. Use should be avoided in individuals with allergies or hypersensitivity to this medication or its ingredients. Caution is needed in patients with eczematous otitis externa who have a perforated tympanic membrane, as this medication may delay healing. It is better not to use on ulcers, severe burns, or frostbite. Patients with certain skin conditions such as perioral dermatitis, acne, rosacea, syphilis, tuberculosis, etc., should also refrain from using this medication. It is safe not to use this medication in women who are breastfeeding. Avoid use on skin with a vaccine reaction or wounds, and applying it to large areas covering more than 10% of the body surface is also not recommended. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, especially during the first three months of pregnancy, should use this medication cautiously, and caution is also necessary for infants and children. If there is an allergy to the included propylene glycol ingredient, it must be confirmed before use. Infections may occur on the skin, and allergic reactions such as rashes, itching, stinging, and swelling may appear; in such cases, use should be immediately stopped. Prolonged or extensive use may lead to skin thinning or dilation of blood vessels, and side effects such as acne or pigmentation changes may occur. Excessive use of this medication can affect the body's hormonal balance, so caution is needed. When used around the eyes, there is a risk of increased intraocular pressure or glaucoma, so caution is necessary, and with prolonged use, symptoms such as cataracts or blurred vision may appear. The prescribed dosage and usage must be strictly followed, and when used by children, supervision by a guardian is required. Using on large areas or with occlusive dressings may increase systemic absorption, necessitating regular checks. Once symptoms improve, it is advisable to stop using it as soon as possible and to switch to medications without corticosteroids. It is safe to limit the treatment duration to within 7 days. This medication may decrease the efficacy of contraceptive devices when used with latex condoms or vaginal inserts, so caution is needed. Using during pregnancy may affect the fetus, so it should be carefully decided in consultation with a doctor, and it is safe not to use while breastfeeding. Children are at a higher risk of side effects than adults, so the minimum amount should be limited, and caution is necessary due to excessive absorption from wearing diapers. In cases of overdose, immediate gastric lavage should be performed, and this medication should only be used topically and never ingested. Keep this medication out of reach of children, do not transfer to other containers, and store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
